karlotta Posted September 5, 2011 Share Posted September 5, 2011 Generally speaking the first port of call with regard to rearing a puppy should be your breeder, but on the whole he should be fine to go down to two meals at 6 months (I leave mine on 3 meals a bit longer because they are a giant breed, but being a little person he'll be fine.) You'll normally find they wean themselves off the third meal when they are ready so just keep an eye out for him leaving some as well as his general body condition. Today I gave him his breakfast before i went to work, which he refuses to eat as im leaving him, then scoffs it when I get in at 2pm! I'd say that he's probably ready to go onto 2 meals a day, but take a look at his general condition before you decide and then gradually reduce his mid-day meal until it's really small, the skip the odd day until he's out of the habit before you take it away completely.
