Olly
Noooo! I'm spending Christmas at home this year for the first time in ages. Hadn't even thought of this yet!
The Dogmother
I saw that too - I get anything freeze-able from them early and freeze it, then buy the vegetables and meat a couple of days before at the farmer's market. A friend grows me on a 10lb chicken every year and I go over to despatch etc a couple of days before c'mas.

abwsco
Just booked my slot although the delivery charge seems dear this year Can't even remember having to pay one the last few years so it musn't have been much. Definately worth it to avoid the hoards who think the shops are never opening again

Definately worth it to avoid the hoards who think the shops are never opening again Hi Anne, Just got back off holiday and this was at the top of my 'to do ' list. I too don't remember a charge in previous years ( at least not this high!) I have queried it with them but they assure me that the charge has always been the same! To be honest I can't remember for sure but it does seem high. I thought it was perhaps 'payback' for fighting and winning earlier this year. I've definately never paid that before as I'd remember that amount. I also am dreadful for keeping emails for ages but of course had a cull the other week and deleted the Ocado one from last year and can't view it in my order history with them either. Does make you wonder if it's payback Hope you had a nice holiday
Ms Marple
£9.99 for me too! I did a quick internet trawl which seems to agree with this from previous years so I guess it's age
Cinnamon
I am using Waitrose deliver - it is free (& hopefully my daughter will be packing & delivering it )
The Dogmother
Mine would be £6.99 in the week before Christmas but they expect you to order more than £90 Bother that; I'll go late night shopping in Waitrose, Brackley instead!
lillybettybabs
I can't begin to think about it at present.

Is there a Waitrose in Brackley now, my Mum and Dad lived there, not been back for some years, last time was when we were sorting out their bungalow, never sure it I want to visit Brackley again. lillybettybabs
Yes, it's above the antiques cellar. Don't go in there! it's like Aunty Wainwright's, for some reason i have to buy something!

helenp
delivery charge was £9.99 last year, worth it just to avoid the car parking nightmare that is Christmas Food shopping
Yorkshire Pudding
I think it was £9.99 last year too. Just had an email & text to warn me that my regular delivery today can't be sent due to some problems at the depot... And offering me a new delivery slot when I want it and £25 off. That's paid for the wine we had put on that order then! Check your emails if your deliveries come from the same depot that serves Leeds! Ms Marple
Morning. Yes I've just had a text to that effect with £25 voucher also. I guess I must come from a similar depot to you. Shows my memory that I just can't remember last Christmas - perhaps the boozy haze
abwsco
Well, I still can't remember it being £9.99 and I rarely drink so can't blame a boozy haze
