All my girls are favorites for different reasons

 

Josie is my stunt chicken - she'll do whatever I ask her... (see picture)

Lola is my entertainment chicken - she's barking mad!

Rita is my fluffiest - my bearded lady

Korma is my friendliest - she comes on call - she leapfrogs the girls to get to me first

Mavis is my top layer and most enigmatic of all

Fabulous! I've have stunt dogs and guinea pigs before, but I've never managed to get a chicken trained for the role .... hmm perhaps one of my 'new' ex-batts?!?!

 

My favourite has to be all of them .... I know that's a cop out. I used to have a favourite, but she passed away. Now I love them all for varying reasons.

 

Henrietta - our last Omlet girl and she is a Daddy's girl.

Agatha - because she hates being picked up, but once there you'd be forgiven for thinking that she enjoyed it!

Mimi - because she comes and talks to me and you can almost see her rolling her eyes at some of the things the others do!

Lavender - she's my MASSIVE, but soft cuddly girl.

Betsie - she likes to think she's brave .... until Henrietta comes over and then she runs to your feet!

Rosa - she has the most lovely dark red feathers and she peeks into everything you do and pecks everything you have!

Doris - she's my bald ex-batt who loves cuddles and is just a bit dimmer than the others

connie is our special favourite as she was our first hen - a bit dirty and scruffy, and very very nosey!!!

 

and no-one knows what she is - everyone thinks she is ugly but we think she is so funny!!

These are my big girls,my fav is Mayo,the light sussex at the back,she is completley mad and freaks at everything but loves a cuddle and lays HUGE white eggs which are perfect for scrambling

 

 

and these are my small girls and my fav is BBQ the black pekin bantam,she is very bossy and rushes everywhere but has the most lovley character and loves sitting in the treat bowl so the others cant get any.

I don't think Connie is ugly either, calmbreeze. I think she just wants to pretend she is a Victorian gent but her breed really is a mystery

All three are favourites but for different reasons - a cop out, as others have said, but true!

 

 

From top to bottom:

 

Belle - Bluebell, mad hen, quite skittish and HUGE, but she doesn't know it. Very submissive, even though she's twice the size of the others Champion dustbather.

 

Pippa - Miss Pepperpot, top chook, prettiest feathers and sweetest clucking/cooing sound. So soft and fluffy, prettiest knickers. Looses points for broody tendencies (doesn't she know she's a hybrid?! )

 

Lucy - Gingernut Ranger, bold, inquisitive, friendly, completely oblivious to hen politics. No interest in defending, or even finding, her place in the pecking order. First to the treats, wherever they are.
