Sammiboo
I havent bought practical poultry as i thought it was aimed at the more serious keeper. I will have to give it a bash
Chortle Chook
Sammiboo it's worth giving it a try as there is pretty much something for everyone in it. Some of the show stuff goes a bit over my head but I find lots that I enjoy in it and I'm very much a pet keeper (couldn't possibly eat my chooks and right now their eggs are rather sp"Ooops, word censored!" too - the free loaders ) There's stuff on ducks too in there and geese, which keeps me dreaming of a larger garden Only thing you have to bear in mind is that there will be articles for those who are rearing chickens for the table. Cheeky Chooky
I've bought a 6 month subscription to Practical Poultry after reading this thread, so thanks for the recommendation!
Chortle Chook
Lets hope you are still saying 'thank you' when you have reached the end of your subscription . . . but I'm sure you will be. I can't believe it but it has taken over from 'Country Living' for me.
Cheeky Chooky
Oh I used to love buying Country Living but the articles got fewer and fewer while the adverts increased so I stopped buying it

The Warrens
i went to tesco supermarket today and noticed they sold 'your chicken mag' and the poultry one i bought your chicken mag, its seems ok, but alot of adverts than anything else for £3.50 , i think next month il buy the poultry one and see if thats more suited
memphisto
I got a copy of 'Your Chickens' in WHSmiths yesterday, I've got a subscription set up to it which starts with next month's issue. I've not yet seen Prac Poultry up here anywhere but I would be interested to have a gander through it
The Dogmother
I had a flick through 'Your Chickens' but thought it was really aimed at those who are just starting out keeping chooks.
Melbourne12
We get Practical Poultry on a digital subscription, from Zinio. It's currntly not much cheaper than the paper version, though. I think there was a special offer when we first subscribed. Good read, IMO.
