Since Sunday evening,my usually good DAB signal has been really dodgy & I cannot pick up my favourite Absolute Radio at all upstairs,which was fun yesterday as it is that on my clock radio that wakes me

 

Does anyone know if DAB is affected by atmospheric conditions,or have any other idea why its all gone so horribly wrong here?

Sorry Sarah, no idea, but then the signal here is always so poor for anything as we're in a dip and the transmitters are rubbish.

My Dab went squiffy for a few days when the signal was switched this summer but it sorted itself out, had no problems since.

Sarah, mine's completely gone, I thought it was just me!

I don't know if we have the same problem, it'll be interesting to see if others respond.

I had moved the radio to a different room at the weekend, and found it didn't work. There is no sound at all, anywhere in the house, even though it says Radio 4 in the digital display. It won't pick up anything.

I'll have to turn my DAB radio on when I get home and check. I know that Rosie has been retuning our digibox on the TV most weeks

Radio waves are affected by atmospheric conditions, but that is unlikely, have you tried retuning and attaching an external aerial?

I can't get Classic FM - everything else is fine, but frequently Classic FM is "station not xxx" - sorry I cannot tell you the exact wording but it is working today.

Radio 4 on mine sounds like they are in a fish tank - makes the Archers doubley exciting - glub glub
