I work in a Doctors surgery and we get some odd things being left behind. Patients often come back for their sticks, bags and coats. often find hats etc. however this morning I found a pair of smelly socks left them in reception in the hope that the owner might appear. Its turned a tad chilly - wouldnt you think they would think "ooh me feet are cold" but no. I am waiting for a pair or knicks or a bra The receptionist will go ballisitc when they find these smelly socks in their window sill - i will keep quiet

How can people do that though?! Seriously, my OH has stinky feet but I couldn't imagine him whipping his socks off in the GP surgery and leaving them there

 

When I was a dental nurse, people used to leave false teeth behind when they came in but no exciting lost property items!

It could have been worse you could have left the socks on a radiator

 

I used to work in a Chiropractic clinic and could not believe how many left walking sticks and crutches behind I never used to spot them as the reception desk was very high, so whenever a patient pointed them out to me I always used to take them out of reception declaring another miracle

I do diabetic foot checks so sock removal is a day 2 day occurence however I cant see why they didnt miss the socks - been so chilly. I found an unopened pack of fags one day. I leave them in recp as if there owners come back they can claim them.

When I worked at a sports centre complete sets of clothes yes complete knickers bra's the lot where often left behind the mind boggles.

This can only be beaten by when I was a barmaid I found a false leg we hung it from the coathooks and after a couple of weeks when unclaimed we threw it in the skip I still wonder to this day how they got home
