Mrs Potts
For a pudding recipe that requires some demonstration of skill that can be made in an hour, including cooking time no microwaves - any suggestions, please? YD on Friday - Yeah, we can cook what we like on Tuesday. Open Evening tonight - teacher says 'any recipe, which shows demonstration of skills so far. Most people are making roulade!' YD, when I get home: What's roulade? My skills stop just beyond roasts, yorkshire puddings, scones, apple crumble and spaghetti bolognese. Thank you in advance, Mrs P. The Dogmother
There's a splendid brioche and butter pudding that's (laden with cholesterol, but truly delicious. Haven't made it in ages but you'd easily find the recipe by googling.
Space Chick
I agree a bread and butter pudding would be lovely @ rice pudding..... Vile evil stuff
snowberry
This is a chocolate jaffa self saucing pudding. It says prep 35 mins & cooking 30; however, if you weigh & sort the ingrediants before hand, it takes far less time. We preferred it without the zest of the orange. http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/784637/selfsaucing-jaffa-pudding

Mrs Potts
Hello to you all and thank you for the suggestions. We have looked through the suggestions and chosen the baked raspberry cheesecake, but think we will be testing the jaffa pudding at some point in the near future. GoodFood is a brilliant website, so we have bookmarked that. Just off to Sainsbury's.
bluekarin
You'll have to let us know what that's like. I've not made it before, but the pic looks delicious
Mrs Potts
Just to say the cheesecake was brilliant. It's very sweet and needs a couple of hours chilling to firm up after baking, but it was lovely and she got top marks, so thank you very much. Definitely something we (we? come off it, Mrs P, upping yourself a bit aren't you?) - she will be making again. Mrs Potts
