ChrisP
As the title says really. I've had Lyme Disease for four months now, and due to several mis-diagnoses I have only just finished my round of antibiotics for it. I'm still rediculously tired though, as in needing naps for 2/3 hours a day. I understand that tiredness is a symtom of Lyme but does anyone know how long I will be tired for? I also have begun to bruide very easily, a simple shake of the shoulders and I have fingerprint-shaped bruises for a few days; is bruising a symptom of Lyme, does anyone know? And how long will that last?! I have another doctors appointment next monday, but was wondering if any of the Omleting world have any experience/knowledge they would be happy to share (purely to stop me panicking that I still have it! )

Alis girls
ES we think had it after a Geography trip. i did post it on here but a couple of yrs back. Bloods were inconclusive but he had antibiotics and had bullseye rash and fever. Lymes disease assoc were very helpful. He wasnt too ill and although we werent 100% sure it was that they were in a PGL building which had a lot of wild animals which wandered in and out. of course being kids they wanted to touch the animals. Another couple of kids were treated as I alerted school to prob diagnosis. Wish you better. Ali x

Ms Marple
My nextdoor neighbour is currently suffering from it and has been since Easter, although the diagnosis only came during the summer. Hers is a late diagnosis compounded by her allergy to several antibiotics. She is fighting what appear to be late stage symptoms still according to the links I have just looked at above. She suffers badly with headaches and concentration and fatigue and has many tests, lumbar puncture, brain scan etc. She is currently awaiting interpretation of her latest results. She has good days and bad days and like us all gets carried away sometimes on a good day which then sets her back This is perhaps not what you want to hear. I usually see her over the weekend when I ask for an update. SHe has never mentioned bruising but I will ask her. If you want some more specifics pm me. I wish you well with your doctor appointment next week.
The Dogmother
My ex had it once; he caught it white water rafting (he used to be an instructor) and tramping back through the undergrowth, luckily the team were well informed about the symptoms and he got prompt treatment. I can help much but remember him feeling poorly for some time.
