quickcluck
Well, i've just got back from a lovely afternoon on the Bluebell railway! I booked afternoon tea for my DH birthday. We were not disappointed! Soooooo luxurious, felt like Poirot should be there with us. The staff were wonderful, a really personal service. There were loads of engines to look at for any buffs out there... The Scones hadn't arrived at this point
whoopsie
The Bluebell is lovely, I went there a lot as a child (Dad's a train buff). I wonder if they still do a Santa run - I know the Watercress Line does.
ohcarolina
They do lunches, dinners, afternoon tea's, Santa Specials, Victorian Fairs and so much more. Can you tell I love it there too! I've taken all the nieces in the past and it was an annual event. I'm just sad they're all growing up now
The Dogmother
Ohhh, steam and cakes; my idea of heaven. Am looking at gorgeous things to do for my 50th in just over a year's time.
pips_pekins
That tea does look yummy. What a great birthday outing. I love steam trains but we've not done anything like this for years. Think I will have to drop a few hints to OH for my next birthday
Laura & CTB
CTB and I went there earlier in the year for one of their evening dinner do's on the pullman - was fabulous - great food and the staff were so professional and smart looking, they made everyone feel really special. We are definitely going again next summer! Glad you had a lovely afternoon.

whoopsie
I did a trip to York with my parents which was amazing - full breakfast and then 3 course lunch on a Pullman (Hampshire Rail Tours). Mum and Dad also did a trip on the Orient Express last year.
