Dolly
Just wondered if anyone could shed any light on why our columbine, Tilly, has a really dark red comb at the tips (almost purple from some angles) at the moment. She's in good health otherwise and doesn't appear to be poorly in any way, it's just not a normal colour for her. I don't know, there's always something at the moment! Thanks
jackian
My Clover had this a few weeks ago , It looked to me like an ink blot . I was concerned and then it went over a few days. I thought it might have been a bruise but still none the wiser...Sorry
percy049
It might be frostbite
surfer_chicken
Feel her comb. It should be warm, if it's cold then that's probably why it's a strange colour. You can add a layer of insulation to keep her warm by putting vaseline on her comb It's especially likely to be this if she has a larger comb as she will lose heat through it more easily.
