blueandwhite
and I'm sad now. I know I've been lucky and had a nice long break. I've spent some time in the garden with the chooks every day. I was really missing that before the break as although I let them out for an hour before I went to work it wasn't really light and I was getting ready. When I got home it was dark and they had taken themselves off to bed. Although there was the weekends, but always seem to be rushing about. So it's been great sitting watching them and they have got used to me again. Plus they have been in the 'humans' only patch ie the only remaining grass in the garden!! Ebay has even laid 2 eggs and I wasn't expecting that. O well, have to earn the money I guess and the days will be getting longer.
Mum
I know precisely what you mean! With this winter being so mild, the holiday has been a great opportunity to give my girls some sun, run and fun up and down the garden. Thank goodness Spring is on the way. Mercedes55
I don't go out to work, but OH is back at work tomorrow and I have to say I am not looking forward to that. Apart from a day and a half when he went into work, he's been home since 15th December. He's been getting up and making me a cup of tea in bed every day and also letting the girls out and cleaning them out and feeding them etc. I'm going to find it really hard getting back into the swing of things

Sammiboo
Ive been in work between xmas and new year, but have been doing short days. I really loved being home when it was still light to let the girls have some time out in the garden. Tomorrow will be leaving for work 7.30am and getting home well after dark i usually love the winter months but since having chickens i cant wait for the long days again! blueandwhite
Yes I know I've been lucky to have the break, my son works in Debenhams and was in all over Xmas. But today, stumbling round in the dark, the girls warbling and knowing I won't see them (in the light) til Saturday ... right just gotta get on with it and get off to work!! Happy New Year all. chuckmum6
Recovering from a holiday is traumatic, fortunately I don't go back until Monday! However I too am dreading the 6:30 wake up to dark mornings again, I am sleeping naturally until 8, sob sob, I don't want to go back to school, I think I will have to go and lie down on the sofa and watch/sleep through another film. Joking aside, I really needed my break, the Christmas term was absolutely exhausting, I came down with flu and it took me two weeks of the holiday to really recover. I am now fit to tackle the term ahead, I just need to finish my planning .
migsy
I'm desperate for the holidays to end! I'm on my own with 3 boys and they have been driving me nuts I am looking forward to dropping them off at school in the morning and then I can start catching up with all the work that has been left undone over the last 2 weeks. As I am self employed I earn nothing in the holidays and I need cash, desperately. Good riddance to the holidays
