Egluntyne
Part of the Severn Valley Railway has been washed away and someone's shed full of chickens in the area was destroyed and the chickens killed. What a shame.

Guest
Was it the railway or the road Egluntine I can't find any news about the railway, but that area is notorious for flooding I know a road to Highley was washed away and a little village, we often visit, you get to it by ferry from our side of the river, is cut off. We had really heavy rain last night and it was so dark at about 8.30pm It has been dry with sunny spells all of today

ali-s
The weather is moving Borth Ali you will get your share : We have lots of rain today but not thunder. Natalie was on a school trip to a adventure/woodland theme park today with school just outside Aviemore. It rained all day 100 11 year olds in the rain........ who would want to be a teacher. Heard on the weather forecast that the mountains around Aviemore could get a sprinkling of snow Saturday and Sunday

Am actually off to Wales June 30th to see my favourite band, Thunder, but I hope the weather will be a lot better by then.

Ooh Thunder, good choice! We have not had much more than a light shower here in the last 24 hours and no storms either, we could do with one to clear the air. I am almost asleep during the day, it is so muggy Having said that, there are some pretty menacing clouds overhead now

Lailapet
Aaah great to meet some people who have actually heard of Thunder... I'm so used to having to explain to everyone. There is actually a girl on Thunder's message board who has 2 chickens in an eglu... It's not you, is it Feemgc? I'm sure she's called Fee! Last time I saw Thunder I was lucky to get Meet & Greet passes, but didn't know what to talk to them about. Now that I have got chickens I know what to talk to them about if I ever get to meet them again.
fourfinches
OH and I spent yesterday in Dublin. We had a great time until we came out the restaurant where we had dinner to find it was pouring. We decided to cut our losses and head back to the airport. The first two buses didn't arrive so eventually feeling very drookit we caught a bus. Our flight which was due to leave at 9.25 was delayed by the weather but by 10.00 we were sitting on the plane ready to leave. We sat and waited and we waited and we waited and... eventually took off at 10.55. When we got back to Stansted we had to queue for ages at passport control and eventually arrived home at about 1.30. No wonder I've felt tired today. Morag
