SallyD
Hello, Does anyone know where to get clear pvc shower curtains from? I've heard that you can get them from IKEA but there isnt one near me. Also do chickens 'practise' sitting on the nest before they start laying? I've seen one of mine doing this today but after she'd left the eglu I rushed out to have a look and it was empty! Thanks Sally
craftyhunnypie
Hiya - Woolworths do one with silver stars on for £2.99 and they are very durable! Emma.x
SallyD
Thanks for that. Silver stars would do very nicely! I'll look for one tomorrow.
The Dogmother
Most of the DIY shed stock them too. Clearish ones are best as they let in more light. Millets do a pack of 10 snap on eyelets for £2.99, which are great to put on the corners where you're going to thread the bungee hooks through. http://www.millets.co.uk/millets.storefront/product/099116.aspx?searchbreadcrumbs=eyelets
moochoo
You can also try poundland or pound stretcher then you can easily afford spares. Sarah
Couperman
You can also buy the stuff by the metre from here http://www.dazplaz.com/acatalog/Clear_Flexible_PVC.html It is a bit more expensive but you could tailor it exactly to your needs. Might work as a club together special if there are enough wanting some! Kev.
Olly
I have got an offcut of a shower curtain on at the moment, put up in a hurry in the last batch of heavy rain - I hold it on with bulldog clips, not the traditional ones but those black metal ones that you get in different sizes. I ... um ... 'borrowed' a few from work - they clip round the bars of the run and hold it in place really easily, and are easy to move as well if you want to adjust it. landgirl
John Lewis also sells clear plastic shower curtain-like material from a roll - £2.95/metre. It's in haberdashery along with all the other textile rolls.
xScrunchee
I just bought a clear polythene sheet from Wilkinsons for £3.99. I think it is 3m x 6m, not sure but I could easily make at least two covers with it so now I have spare if this one gets damaged or torn. I fix mine on with bulldog clips (wonder where I got that idea from? ) Working well so far!
urbanchick
If you search for "nackten" on ebay you will find a few, although with postage they probably cost more than they are worth. I often buy Ikea bits and bobs on eaby as the nearest one to us takes about 3 hours to drive to.
Olly
... good point, but when they are selling for £4.99 on ebay, and they are 99p in Ikea, someone is being rather cynical! still I am lucky enough to live ten mins away from an Ikea store ... I absolutely loathe going there, but you can't beat them for value.
