Parsley
Can anyone tell me how to sex silbars I have one due to hatch at the weekend, with 53 Thuringians so it will not be on its own. Thank you Wendy
Redwing
I have Silbars, they are easy to sex, very similar to Cream Legbars, the males should have the yellow head spot and are generally much lighter, the females are darker and striped The gene pool for these birds is small though and outcrossings mean that some may not be as easy to sex as they should be take care of your Silbar - there arent nearly enough around! Parsley
Thank you Redwing, I had a feeling you had some. The lady I got it from lives in Worcestershire and has all sorts of rare birds in her garden. She has no idea of the rarity as she does not have the internet, although she is learning fast as I wandered around her garden saying "you have what!!!" I think she is thinking about selling on her Silbars so I am going to get some more eggs from her in May along with bantam Tolbunt Polands which I only thought came in large fowl . My mottled Poland came from her. She is a lovely lady
