Smart Feeder - Light sensor values

One of my Pekins, Astrid, had an absolute fit of noisiness earlier - she started squawking in a mad fashion at about half past seven and scared the life out of me! We've had the girls for 3 weeks now and they've been very quiet til now - have I got a noisy Pekin or could this be a one-off?

Not sure if it's a one off or not, maybe something scared her, a bird flying over maybe. I do have one girl, Gertie, who regulularly has a noisy five minutes, I always go dashing out to check but there doesn't seem to be any reason. I say to her what's the matter and she then reverts to chatting to me, she makes me smile.

Sometimes a couple of mine do this and it is usually an alarm call...not often something to be worried about just maybe a sound or something they have not heard or seen before.

Other times it is because they just want attention ,once one starts the others join in."Give us a treat or we will scream louder "

But all ways worth checking .

My little pekins are usually noisy like that when they've been alarmed by something

 

But they're so young and maybe they get noisier with age!

Afraid my little pekin is the noisiest of the lot. Not frequently thank goodness

My little Wyandotte Bantams are the noisiest of my lot. They do the bup bup BUPAH noise as an alarm call frequently - even when a pigeon swoops overhead

I guess being tiny they are on the lookout a bit more

My pekins are right little shouters!!! They start very early I'm afraid.

 

They shout if they lay, if they are lonely, or they have nothing better to do!

 

They are lovely tho....

I have a Pekin that is noisy. Full stop. She yap yap yaps if I so much as put the end of my nose outside the door.

My pekins are all noisy too, they love to make a right song and dance when they lay, hear a noise they are not sure of, find a worm, anything really

My other Pekin hasn't had a noise attack (yet?) and my Orp bantam has behaved so far too (well, "behaved" is putting it strongly, she's a cheeky madam!).
