It will be a very s"Ooops, word censored!"y affair at the Edinburgh Botanical Gardens as they are loaded (they have no kids) and there will be loads of people I haven't seen for years (and years). Lots of OHs oldest friends never had kids so I always feel slightly housewifey when I go to do's with them (rarely). So, last week I got out the one and only dress I own (which I can get into now after losing weight, thankfully) but my legs were like dumpy milkbottles . On advice, I bought Loreal Sublime Bronze - was told to get gel but they only had mits. Well, how easy were they to use ! No mess, no smell and no brown stains on the sheets. My feet are a bit pale as I was told to be careful in that area but generally it looks pretty good (realistically, they are now dumpy Newcastle Brown Ale bottles but I don't have time for surgery). Shame my thighs actually look the best as there's no way I'm flashing them. They only cost about £2.50 for 4 and I've only used one. I think I may be a convert . I was probably the only one in flat pumps - 6" heels seemed to be de rigeur . At least my feet didn't hurt at the end of the night . The do was fab - champagne on arrival (which got topped up regularly) then a free bar all night with a lavish bbq (but posh!). Nice to see people I hadn't seen in decades and for OH to catch up with some old Uni friends. Got home at 2.15am, rather drunk, to be told by YS "go to bed, Mum, you're drunk" .
