Cinnamon
I am trying to remember what I cooked for Cleo a couple of years ago. I think it was an almond loaf thing & I am sure I got the recipe from here.....possibly from Lesley? Anyhow,it was divine. Just remembered something else...........McSweens Veggie Haggis is what I usually do for Cleo. It is utterly delicious & tastes like stuffing,so we all share it around too....there are NEVER any leftovers, but if there are it goes into the pan with all the leftover veggies for a bubble & squeak on Boxing Day. I generally pick one up early & freeze it,as it freezes well. You could also half it & freeze it,just defrosting half at a time. Its a doddle to cook too. I can't recommend it enough
The Dogmother
L_B, just been looking at the parsnip roulade recipe and it sounds yummy; do you think it can be made up in advance and frozen?
rachel19
If you want mulled wine without the alcohol just simmer it for longer until the alcohol has burned off? Will still taste more or less the same then anyway - we've done this in the past and its nice. Same goes for cider.
TheGirlsMum
So what exactly do you put in mulled Cider? Please
Lavenders_Blue
L_B, just been looking at the parsnip roulade recipe and it sounds yummy; do you think it can be made up in advance and frozen? My friend made it for me a couple of years ago (she does a Christmas Eve party every year) and I have a feeling that this is exactly what she did so she didn't have to faff about on the day. I will check with her and get back to you!
