I have just watched Walking with Dogs: A Wonderland Special on iPlayer and i was wondering, does anybody know what breed of dog Nigel is?

I watched that and thought it was great Nigel looked very similar to my dog (cavalier king charles x bichon or called a cavachon) in shape and colour. He looked like he had cavalier in him with the ears and face so he could also be a cavapoo or something similar.

Also forgot too add as they are crosses they all look different so many cavachons on google look nothing like mine

I loved this programme. Sorry, I can't remember which dog was Nigel. It has made me look at the people walking their dogs in the park in a totally different light. Neela loved watching it too - I think she wanted to go for another 'walkies'

My dog kept running up to the telly - he was very confused It reminded me of my local park which is full of eccentric dog walkers

Just watched it on iplayer too, some of the back stories were really moving. I wondered if Nigel was a Tibetan terrier.

I missed this but a couple of people I met dog walking this afternoon said it was a good programme. I will have to catch it on iPlayer.

I saw the last two-thirds of this by accident...was wonderful! Although I was leaking around the eyes basically the WHOLE way through I want a dog

I caught it on iplayer - a few nutty owners and fat dogs but interesting to hear why people have their dogs and how they perceive their role in their lives. Some total nutters though - what planet was that woman who made the dogs leads and outfit on?

Yes indeed! She of the 'high end' bejewelled leads! I can imagine how cross my doggo would be hearing that thing jangling behind him!

I was intrigued by the two 'body finder' ladies... there was almost a twinge of sadness when the last one 'woke up'!

The French chap with the assistant poo picker was very odd too I think we all need one of those...

I don't think one of those would last very long with Neela - she'd bite off all the 'bejewlling' She was a bit bonkers that woman, she who loves little white fluffy things

I'm afraid that I don't have much patience for folks like that and couldn't help but think that she needed a newborn waking her up at 2am to bring her back to this planet.

After hearing the awful news of the baby born who died this morning, it made me think of this programme, and especially the couple who had a large dog and were expecting a baby. I remember feeling so worried about how close they were sitting with them both together on the sofa. My heart goes out to this family, for both their losses really, but especially for their baby
