Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Hi all, I am so excited!! I am getting four new ex batts this weekend via forum member 'oh carolina' and FSFH. I have had an empty classic and WIR for a while now and it has been crying out for some new girlies. I have reserved four hens and have been wracking my brains for names but can't come up with anything. We have old fashioned names for our bantams and flower names for our ex batts, any ideas for my new girls? I know lots of you have brilliant names for your chooks from your signatures!

Lots of people have used olympic names this year or I have seen many that choose a letter and stick to that for each lot they get in and some use colours.

 

I like old ladies names as I think it suits them!

mine are named after the bee gees! Maurice, Robin and Barry!

my 4 year old names my girls. The 3 new ones are:-

Beauty

Belle

Cinderelle

The BBC for short.

My other 2 are called after Mr Tumbles Aunty's Skui & Polly

I named my ex-batts after supermodels - Niaomi, Claudia, Cindy, Kate, Linda, Twiggy and Elle

I named my first girls after designers (Lulu, Coco and Vivienne) and was to continue the theme so we had Chloe and Vera for the first few days but they didnt suit so we kept calling them Buffy (Buff Sussex) and Dot (Wyandotte) which stuck in the end then we ended up with Connie for our Legbar who has curled toes and is after a story from when I was little about a girl with a candle that curled as she was called Connie and Annette as the Maran needed to be caught in a net (she gets referred to as the Maran though)..... Think I am saying their personalities might guide you, but it is always fun/helpful if you have a starting point.....

That is so funny, for totally different reasons we were thinking 'Shaggy, Thelma, Daphne and scooby after the Scooby doo cartoon.

I've got all the names off sexy in the city Miranda,Samantha,karrie and Charlotte
