counturchickens
Our beloved cat Hattie is in hospital! Last Friday she came over all strange, losing her balance and holding her head to one side. We've has a few trips to the vet, now she has been for an MRI scan. I really thought we were going to get the worst news yesterday, but they have now ruled out a brain tumour and meningitis, however they want to keep her in for a few days. They have said we can visit, but I daren't in case she thinks she is coming home. Poor thing. She was a Rescue cat and when we had her she was is a state of some stress after living a caged life whilst awaiting re homing. Just hoping we can have her home for Christmas. Chucky Mama
Sorry to hear your news but it is good that the scan was clear..have a think about visiting though if she isn't eating.. if she is eating she is more likely to be allowed home. Many cats eat when their owners visit.. Cats tend not to get upset when their owners have to leave compared with dogs..Good luck

Gertie
Sorry to hear about Hattie. Poor you! I do hope there is some improvement when you visit. My cat had to stay in overnight recently and I was very sad. They are family members to me! Definite heartbreakers!

counturchickens
Picking her up this morning! Poor girl has something wrong with her middle ear and is still a bit disorientated so the vet said we had to get a cage for her in the house, so we now have a puppy cage! Have to monitor her now to see if antibiotics do the trick or whether she will need an op. glad she's coming home though, the house has been very odd without her. counturchickens
Thanks all. She's home, but still struggling with her balance. Is sneezing a lot since being in hospital, and falls over every time she does. Back on the 28th to see if there is any change, if not they might try an op. counturchickens
Good news, vet is really pleased with her progress. She isn't so pleased about having 3 tablets a day though! Hopefully won't need an op if she carries on improving.
