charly1979
Stupidly managed to agree to look after Bob my daughters class pet, little minx made it sound like they were asking anyone to look after him but after speaking to her teacher it woud have been fine for him to stay at school for half term, anyway she leaves for secondary school in September so she convinced the teacher he needed to come home with us. I am picking him tomorrow luchtime but im soooooo nervous I mean what if Bob is no longer Bobbing by the end of the holiday . I will post a picture of him tomorrow assuming that he stays in one place . We have looked after the school G Pig many many years ago but they failed to tell me how old he was and that he was on borrowed time, luckilly he made it back to school and lived for another year

surfer_chicken
Aww I always got a bit jealous in infant school watching all the other children take home the class guinea pig for the holidays, I can understand why my parents weren't so keen though
Purplemaniacs
Good luck!! We are thinking of having a Giant African Land Snail as a class pet which children take home for the weekend, as we thought those who were keen could hold it, clean it out, feed it and others could just look at it for the weekend and it would be quite happy until Monday morning. I have two that live at school in the week. Chrissie
Gem_xxx
My class have an African land snail- Gary! They adore him but he has to come home with me in holidays as our parents just aren't keen (and I'm not sure he'd survive a weekend with some of mine!)
