a question about feeding different foods to hens

Im not an experienced granny square crocheter.

 

My square is 4.5 inches. If I do another round it will be 5.5.

 

Do I stop small? Or go large?

Stop small, and I can sort it when I sew together!

OR.....

Could you perhaps try a different stitch around the edge, if you're feeling brave(a row around of single crochet, or a row around of double may do the trick...

I sound like an expert, but I've had to do this before to "even out" sizes....

Freddie, can the 2nd square be any colour? Do you just want one square for each & any embellishments if I fancy too? Or would you like a few more? Let me know, as this is my main craft.

The more the merrier, please!! And yes, to embellishments, in any soft colours, as these can be "shared " between the two...Sending before say 20th March would be good for the neutrals, or all of them , and I'll start a jigsaw puzzle on the living room floor!!

Do I need to use the type of wool, I do have some DK that I am using for a ripple blanket, do you think I could use that or should I buy the correct yarn?

I think any DK of similar weight, and content would be ok...

Me too - I was worried it might not 'match' the other squares! Besides, it's always a good excuse to get some new wool .... a couple of other things may have slipped into the basket while I was there!
