I'm off to the cinema on my own tomorrow and can't decide between 'This is 40' and 'Beautiful Creatures' .

Anyone been to see either of them recently?

No...but I thought that Django Unchained was the most entertaining film I'd seen in a long long time ( even though it's Tarantino and very gory and I usually hate gory films). Sorry know that this doesn't help with your dilemma at all....

No idea really but going by online reviews, Beautiful Creatures has low ratings and This is 40 is a bit better. I would probably see the later film especially if you have seen Knocked Up already as it follows on from that. Enjoy your night out whatever you choose

Zero Dark Thirty is great. Strong female lead and gives you lots to think about. Have been discussing it and the facts since.

My DS recommended this one too and I'm hoping to see it over the weekend. He said it wasn't at all what he expected and raised some very interesting questions....

Went to see 'The Vortex' matinee performance at my local instead.

 

Plan to see Song for Marion tomorrow.

Agree on Les Mis. Cloud Atlas finally gets a release today, but I suspect it's going to be a bit limited. Will try to see it anyway. OH has read the book and really enjoyed it and the trailer is stunning.

Very annoyingly didn't get to see 'Song for Marion'. Due to a technical fault most of the screens did not work and the cinema was only showing 'Wreck it Ralph' - 5 times!!

Ahhh I liked the guy who was Pan's son! Uma was a scary Medusa! I don't think we'll be going to see that one - but it's one to watch on Sky when OH has gone to bed
