bronze
She does those other books for charity so instead of another novel maybe she'll do a whos who. Or an updated history of hogwarts. I think the reason she did the 19 years later was becaue it was th elast book and she wanted people to know it was all ok in the end
Prongs
We knew it was OK in the end anyway didn't we - I appreciate that she wanetd to include them all married with children etc. and 1 or 2 years later wouldn't have been able to explain that, and anything more than this and she would have ended up with another 700-800 page book on her hand, which I doubt she really wanted to write, and would of been a landmine for us to read! It would be quite nice if she wrote a Who's Who for Comic Relief and I wouldn't mind a couple of spellbooks for us to dig into either! Possibly even write a small version of A History Of Magic or History Of Hogwarts.
starboyhull
We have a theory that once the films are finished that they will probably make a tv series, either as a grown up harry or his kids......
Prongs
If they did I for one wouldn't like it! Don't know why but as a TV Series it doesn't appeal to me! The only way I would like it would be if they did it showing the school life, you don't pick much of that up in the books.
Cinnamon
I think any future book she does write will be a prequel - Voldemort,Severus,James & Lily at Hogwrts & before when they were children. Sirius & Remus too - how great would that be? It would be about how the Death Eaters started & all that.......I would read it!
Popcorn
Wowee - I can't believe some of you read for so long to finish the book so quickly! I can't wait to be able to do that again when Stefan is a bit older......... I went shopping on Monday and popped into WHS for a paper and I couldn't believe the amount of people talking about Harry Potter. I have to admit, I totally missed the boat, have no idea about any of it...but how fantastic to be part of the moment. I'm sure it will go down in history! You lot might have just convinced me to get book No.1.........
theherd123
I had an odd conversation with my OH yesterday - more odd than usual! There is a guy who works on his team at work and he knows the twins who play Fred & George Weasley really well - how cool is that! This chap picked up the phone today when i called the OH and i was so tempted to quiz him about it!
Jules.
I have just started re reading the book & think I have found a mistake in it... When V goes with Kreacher to the lake where he hide the locket he makes Kreacher drink the potion in the basin, puts the locket into it & then refills it with potion. When RAB replaces the Horcrux locket with the fake one it does not say in the book that he refills the basin with potion.... so how come in HP&THBP Dumbledore drinks the potion to get the locket? Where did this potion come from? I am now up to when they have got into the Ministry & got the real Horcrux, so I do have a lot more reading to do but I wonder if anyone else can shed any light on this? Have I misread the RAB incident?

Lovemychooks
What a fantastic book, although I read it too quickly because I was dying to see what happened at the end so i'll read it again slowly this time. I must say that I loved the ending where Ginny & Harry are together, as are Hermione & Ron...must be the old romantic in me ! Hehe! I hated the ending, I liked the happyness of it all but it skipped forward to much, I wanna find out what jobs they're doing etc. what happens to the rest of the DE's after book 7 things like that. That's true, it would be good to find that out too !

Have I misread the RAB incident? Andy writes........ **Hard to be sure without re-reading the Dumbledore incident with the potion in previous book but I thought that it was something like..... drinking the potion gives the drinker "access" to the locket. If that is true then when V and Kreacher went to the cave and Kreacher drunk the potion on his first visit he would then have the ability to "access" the locket. He then returned to RAB instead of dying of course, so on his return he would be able to get at the locket without having to drink the potion that was in the basin. Therefore he could replace the locket with the false locket and leave the potion that was there undistrurbed for Dumbledore to drink on his later visit. Hope that makes more sense to read, then it did to write. Andy.** this is why he should have his own account on here
Jules.
Didn't RAB die from drinking the potion? He was dragged under by the Inferi.
starboyhull
Andy said....... **One of the problems with lending your copy of HP7 to the mother in law is that you have to work from memory with no reference book. Now you mention it you are correct, I do recall RAB's death and therefore my theory is way out. Hence the question stands.......Where did the refill potion come from?** Another reason he needs his own account on here As you can see he has an excuse for everything
Snowy
Maybe he only drank some of the potion?? Must admit that bit confused me, but I thought it was because I was reading through too fast (and probably at 2am )
Cinnamon
I sort of assumed that the bowl was a bit like the Magic Porridge Pot - it refilled itself magically when the locket was replaced in it Thats how I read it anyway

Prongs
I would guess that Voldemort goes back to check every once in a while and without thinking properly he just refilled it thinking that he hadn't refilled it properly in the first place. Couperwife
I got a bit confused at the end...... Teddy (tonks's baby boy) was at the station "snogging Victoire" but he would be 19 - did it mean he was just seeing her off? or is he supposed to still be at school I think that JK has left herself wide open for more books though (yay) I really enjoyed it. I cant wait until I finish the other books so I can read it again (bad habbit of mine - keep re-reading them over and over again - you keep reading things that you missed last time )
Louise
He would be 18 as he was just born at the end and 19 years later makes him 18 I understood he was snogging Bill and Fleurs daughter who if born fairly sharp after they got married would be about 16/17 and therefore still at school
