mimi5 Posted March 24, 2013 Share Posted March 24, 2013 So in all this chilly, snowy weather...today was the day I found 4 eggs in the nestbox of the cube!!! Egg dance x4 This means all of my big girls are laying now!! Polly is too in the classic and her sister Tilly does seem to be on the mend (only Tilly left to come in to lay now) and so this after all my recent troubles and the weather, has cheered me up no end!!! Given the horrid cold weather they are doing well. Some of my little bantams who hatched last year are now laying a few eggs too. I found 2 soft shelled eggs in the poo trays The cube had been frozen shut for a few days and as it's just the 4 girls I wasn't too worried. Tues the sun came out so time for a clean... and 2 soft shelled eggs was what I found!!! I've not experienced this before!!! Maybe it's Molly my only remaining original? She seems to have just started laying again recently. So have added more oyster shell to their grit pot. Hope this is just something and nothing.....none since ...so here's hoping!
