Scottie
Have had our 7 new hens for a week and tonight let them play in the garden with the 4 big girls. Was expecting a lot of difficulties, but it wasn't bad at all. A few pecks but nothing much. They've been in two runs next to each other all week. Will do the same tomorrow and see how we get on. Not planning on putting them altogether at night for a while yet.
Luvachicken
It is nice when things go well and I'm glad they seem to be getting on so far. It is good to take things slowly. Mine were next to each other for for almost a couple of months and when I finally put them together they got on fine, that was in October/November time - sadly though recently, one of the wyandottes has been quite spiteful to 2 of the others. I hope yours turn out better behaved and have a water pistol handy.
