suebee
What a lovely, supportive vet you have mimi. Your Florence seems to be making the most of her life, and you're doing all you possibly can for her. Let us know how things go with her. x
mimi5
Well.........dare I say it out loud.....Florence is making a recovery from whatever it was she had! I was on the verge of that "last trip to the vets" but that morning she seemed perkier and was defintely interested in food!!!So hubby and I decided to give her a couple more days as long as she seemed alert and happy. If you remember the vet had thought she had avian TB from which there is no recovery But on our last visit she had said why not give her one last shot and prescribed a high strength 3 day course of baytril and only charged me.....£0.84p!!!!!!! Well she didn't hold out much hope and I didn't expect much. But each day she is stronger, eating well and bossing Penny around!!!! She lost SO much condition I'm not sure if she will lay again but am SO delighted she will make her 1st birthday later this month!!!!! The other 5 are also doing really well, all laying and over the recent broodiness!!!! LONG MAY IT LAST!!!! .........still not sure about re-starting intros for Tilly & Polly, just enjoying a calm period Will try and post some pics later
