Went round ikea with a grub but couldn't find anything appropriate so plumped for these from B&Q - do the job nicely....

Haha, yes Cheeky Chook I'm afraid we totally copied you! Loved all the matching bits! The ikea stools totally match - double checked when carrying a grub round ikea!! I've also got my eye on some green flower pots and window boxes I think also match!

Sorry I haven't been about...the first thing I did when popping on here was to hunt down this thread and now I have a grin on my face!! It's such a gorgeous run!

Hey Mrs_B - hope everything is ok?

 

Girls and I are loving the run. So pleased. I feel less guilty now there is plenty or room. OH like it too - I came home to find him on a green stool drinking coffee and having a chat! Chooks are quite happy to chat, i think they are getting more cheeky - they love their dust bath and have a sunbathing spot.

Everything is going OK here thank you, though I have had some pecking issues with the two pairs as I reintroduced them. The Sussex and Columbine were trying to fight their way from being bottom chicken which resulted in the Sussex having a bare front and bottom and the Columbine a bare back! We're past that now, though they look a bit scruffy!! That's the reason we've held back buying any new chooks for now - we've been waiting for some sort of peace! I have to say though that tidying up and even feeding them everyday in the WIR is SO much easier then before. OH and I hose down the chip and add stalosan to keep it from being poo sick and it's just so easy as there's no bending down The girls love it too, although they are fighting over the nest box every morning and making horrendous noise so we've just bought a 4 set of wooden nest boxes on legs to put outside by the house (let's hope they actually use it!)

 

I plan on being back online much more - I had some bad news so felt a bit sorry for myself (long story short OH and I have been told have IVF asap) but I am in a better mood now after a bit of a break from everything

 

I'm seriously really happy for you that after all the hassle you had over getting permission, that your WIR is everything you wanted

Thanks. There is kick board on as well now. The girls like the sheltered bit from the shiplap (special request) and get sun at the front. We love it! Keep us posted.
