soapdragon
A friend has chickens in two different runs - hybrids and pekins. The hybrids, who have all been together happily for quite a few months suddenly all have bare bottoms and she is not sure why! She (my friend!) says that they are all, apparently, still laying as normal and have healthy looking combs - no other odd behaviour that she has noted. Any ideas why this might be? Thanks! Luvachicken
I would say she has a secret feather pecker.
Patricia W
Definitely feather pecking. They do it at night in the house I find.
daxigirl
Most of mine have got bare bums too. Big girls and the odd littlun. They look a right load of scrag bags.
