The advantage of being a Plain Jane when getting older is that I don't miss what I never had. I was never defined by my looks so my world doesn't tilt on it's axis as I change. I guess that now she's in her thirties, maintaining things is taking more effort and maybe she's panicking a bit.

Me too Claire, I'm not sure I could live with the burden of being beautiful

Oh, I've learnt to cope over the years. I just budget an extra half an hour for my journey from Reception to my desk so that being accosted by adoring women doesn't disrupt my normal working routine. Admittedly I have to keep a spare shirt in the car in case of rippages, but overall it's pretty manageable now.

I wasn't aware at the time but I now realise getting fat was a serious personal sacrifice for my career so I wasn't 'too pretty' too work.:roll:

Wish I'd realised at the time I could have felt virtuous whilst I was eating that extra cake.:lol:

I can name at least 4 girls at my place of work who are prettier & much more natural that this lady.

There is certainly nothing about our work environment that stops them working!

One girl is a stunning drop dead beauty, yet she still manages to come to work & do her job. Odd that this woman can't.
