patsylabrador
I'm definitely going to send link to ES. He loves Japanese cooking and food and has taught me some basics. He's in Switzerland right now but hoping to get to Japan over winter. He often finds himself in rural areas where he has to cater for himself so he'd enjoy this. peachachecha
This is great. I just purchased a bento box for my daughter and will have to try some of the recipes for her bento box. She is an adult but I am going to have fun making her lunches for her. I even purchased an egg press shaped like a star. You peel the egg quickly after hard boiling it and put it into the press, place the form in cold water to cool and you have an hard boiled egg in the shape of a star. peachachecha
Made my daughters first bento box lunch. She really likes the sweet potato hummus I made for her. Thought I would share the recipe. 1 pound of sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into one inch pieces 1 - 19.5 ounce can chickpeas, drained and rinsed 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (usually 1 large lemon) 1/4 cup tahini 2 tablespoons olive oil 2 teaspoons ground cumin 1 garlic clove, chopped co"Ooops, word censored!" salt and ground pepper Steam sweet potatoes till tender. Combine all ingredients, except salt and pepper, in food processor. Puree and add water if necessary. Season with salt and pepper. Store in air tight container one week.
