Space Chick
Have heard about it from low carb books, then saw it on Jamie Oliver, but I have to admit I was dubious! I am diabetic, so need to monitor my carbs. so I decided to give it a whirl We bought a nice cauli from the farmers market, so I used the left over leaves in a curry, along with the left over meat from our Sunday roast and some tomatoes from the allotment and spices. You pop the cauli head in a food processor until it becomes the size of rice grains, then you microwave for 7 minutes. It was surprisingly delicious and will definitely do again
LolaLayla
I found it really useful when I was on the 5:2 diet. It is a great substitute for rice and I enjoyed it although cauliflower is not usually my veg of choice
Bramble
It's interesting that you microwave it for that long - I haven't done cauli rice for some time, but it's jolly nice - reckon I only nuked it for about 3 mintues though - wonder if you were cooking more than me ... Purplemaniacs
I was wondering about this too, I had heard about it on here and then saw it on Jamie Oliver the other night. I think I may give it a try. Chrissie
Bramble
Sounds delish ... off to buy a cauli!
Chucky Mama
I am really not a fan of cauliflower but I did this tonight with a veggie curry and it was yummy. 3 mins without any water (bit of salt) in my microwave rice cooker did the trick
Lavenders_Blue
For all you cauliflower rice fans, I came across this recipe today for egg-fried cauliflower 'rice'. It looks yummy and I'm really tempted to give it a go!
Space Chick
It does look great (if you ditch the Tofu, I hate Tofu )
Egluntyne
I'm liking the look of the pizza, as gluten free bases can be heavy going as a rule.
Lavenders_Blue
It does look great (if you ditch the Tofu, I hate Tofu ) I love tofu! But I'm sure you could leave it out and serve as a side dish, or substitute it for chicken.
