Couperwife
I saw sunshine on leith last Friday and loved it. It has singing throughout it - all proclaimers music, so if you like them, you will be fine. There are sad bits in it. So its a laugh, cry, sing type movie. Go and see it! Ain't Nobody Here
I'm going to see Sunshine on Leith tonight . Supposed to be very good (and even better if you know Edinburgh ).

Ain't Nobody Here
Just back, loved it . A real feel good film. I was saying to my friends, it makes Edinburgh look a lot nicer than Trainspotting did .
bluekarin
Watched a film at the weekend, not in the cinema but it is showing in Edinburgh apparently, called The Way Way Back. Really good, funny bittersweet film similar to Little Miss Sunshine ( has two of the stars from that film, Toni Collette and Steve Carrell). I knew nothing about it when we started to watch it, but throughly enjoyed it.

Ain't Nobody Here
The audience applauded at the end too - not sure when I last heard that happen . We were puzzled by how none of us had been even remotely aware that they'd been filming this in Edinburgh .
Pearls007
We're off for a few days R&R in Edinburgh on Monday - hoping that Sunshine on Leith will still be on when we get there!

sparkysmum
The audience applauded at the end too - not sure when I last heard that happen . . Eh, much more subdued audience at the MacRobert. And not a student in sight Lots of oldies snuffling into their hankies Sorry, no disrespect intended. ax
