I have four turtle mats at home; two Mud Hogs outside the front and back doors, a mid-length blue Turtle Mat inside the front door and a long grey one inside the back door - they are wonderful at picking up dirt, the inside ones also help to dry off wet dog feet. I have one by the front and back doors and a larger one by the French doors. Oh and a mud hog outside the back door. I love my Turtle Mats! We're just about finished renovating/ decorating our new house and I had seen the recommendations for turtle mats on here. When I went on the website I saw the cockerel design and couldn't resist. When I got mine (which is an oblong style) it had been folded in three and there was packaging to hold it in that position to allow it to be hung on a stand in the shop. I am not describing this very well but it was as it should have been displayed, as sent from the factory. At home I opened it out and there were two lumps where the folds had been. I thought it would flatten with time but although it did a bit you could still see the lump. I washed it but it was still there. I took it back to the shop and the owner washed and dried in in a large drier but there was little improvement.
