All tucked up indoors.

Recommended Posts

My girls are safely tucked up in a dog crate in my dining room.

It is so horrible out there tonight. I was frightened just trying to catch them.

The wind in the trees makes an awful noise and some of you might remember my girls are surrounded by neighbours massive trees on both sides.

I hope everyone stays safe tonight.

I have heard noises outside already. I don't like it :(

I won't be getting any sleep tonight I'm worried about my birds and goats all my chooks are at the bottom of my garden surrounded by trees but I have about 100 so no way I can bring them in every time my neighbours out side lights go on I'm trying to see out the window if our tree house wasn't swaying I would be down there with a torch but don't fancy getting hit on the head then who would look after my birds leanne.

My 5 hardened girls have been faithfully laying 3 to 4 eggs throughout the dark winter, but in the last few days they have totally stopped. I tried to explain to them this morning that I can't do anything about the "Ooops, word censored!"py weather but they have gone on strike :D they must be dreaming of indoor dog crates while their wooden coop is being battered by yet another storm.

I can't even let them out as the fox has reappeared after a 6 month holiday. Not sure i could deal with smell inside the house though, even for the sake of a fresh omelette! :notalk:

Yes our dining room was a bit whiffy this morning.

Hubby said it stank but I actually quite liked it

Mind you, not sure I would like it if it was for any longer.

Amazingly, nothing serious happened last night - in my garden anyway - we did venture out today though and saw a few fence panels here and there and the odd fallen tree.

Roll on tomorrow, the sun is meant to be coming out

Poached Please.....I LOVE my chickens......HOWEVER..........I brought my chickens in, all 9 of them a few months ago and put them in the utility room overnight in various pet carriers, boxes etc. Never again! The smell the next day, even after they were back in the run, floor washed etc was YUCK! Sorry girlies from then on I decided they are staying outside.
