Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Have just been watching (or rather peering at) the ice hockey and could not understand why they couldn't seem to hit the puck. It transpired that I was watching a bit of dust/grot on the screen. OH was in hysterics - I SOOOOO need to give in to vanity and get glasses Also need to clean more

I have one of those mop looking cloths to gather dust from the TV screen. I give it the once over every now and then. Everywhere else has to wait to be dusted!

It has now had a good going over with glass cleaner ....and it was filthy Now where did I put Specsavers number

Trouble is the dust soon settles on it again. I watch OH as his obsessiveness kicks in and he uses the special screen stuff to wipe it off. All he does is move it across the screen to a different area and I can't help laughing inwardly - outwardly would get a bit of verbal and instructions of how to clean the house. Now I'd done it already with one of those glass/dustbusting clothy things and it was fab. Until people move around or the window's open and whoosh back it goes, so why bother. Ear mark the grotty bit and it soon blends into the background. Oh and I need my specs to hoover around now because I can't see bits on the floor - now they do have to go!!!

Terry Pratchett had a line in one of his books regarding housework which sums it all up....

 

'Not so much sweeping up the dust, more moving it around and introducing it to new friends'

 

Or something very similar, anyway! I do love his turn of phrase; I often quote 'million to one chances happen 9 times out of 10'
