Someone has just been saying he is over-run with baby silkies.

Watch out that you do't get saddled with a load io cockerels. Silkies are not easy to sex.

Now until you said that Eglutyne I hadn't even given silkie roos a thought I haven't ever seen one to know how they differ to hens any pointers of what to look for

Their top knot is less of a powder puff and more of a weird set of feathers sprouting out of their heads making them look somewhat startled, but not uggly. They aslo have rather pretty, long hackles and should have a purple comb and wattles. This is my boy (but note he should have a purple comb and wattles, not the red one he has). The white silkie boys are absolutely stunning with their white feathers and dark faces. Daxigirl also has a lovely partridge one and might share a picture.
