Egluntyne
Make the most of a night away. The family will appreciate ou all the more when you get back. Maybe the bookings will pick up a bit when folk are back off hols. Once children are back at school people get to thinking about Christmas presents and bookings are sure to pick up. craftyhunnypie
Hi Emma! I also used to be a Partylite consultant. I gave it up at Easter! I came to the conclusion that it was pyramid selling and if at the top - well great, but if at the bottom, then I was just lining my managers pockets. Plus I was getting the same faces at parties who were just coming along for a glass of wine & a natter as they were sick of seeing candles! We had a forum where I stated this & my post got removed! That was the final straw, as a forum is there to express opinions. But that one was very biased towards Partylite and only showed the good points. I still love the products tho, so I'd love it if you could send me a Xmas catalogue - I need some more wax! I went to Conference last year in London at The Hilton! It was very good, but very Americanised. A bit Over the top! Be prepared to be dancing on your chairs at 9am!!!!! The good bits are the gala dinner, where you get a little pressie on your chair, oh & after you get some xmas product to take home with you & some more shipped to your home! I gave up as it became overpowering! My manager wanted me to do something ' Partylite' every single day. Like go thru my diary and ring everyone. Join groups to meet new people etc etc! People must have been sick of me & I could have lost a lot of good friends thru being like that! I've still got a load of stuff to get rid of. Can't say I miss the money - as I do a lot of crafting & sell that instead. The money made from that is purely my own & the only pocket I'll be lining from now on...is my own! P.S I wonder who will win the car????? Emma.x
Kathy C
I hope you have a nice time. I can understand that a weekend of work vs weekend with family and hens is not a good trade off, even if it's in a s"Ooops, word censored!"y hotel with a masked ball. Just grit your teeth and try to make the most of the "me" time, with long baths with a glass of wine and other pampering.
chocchick
Is it a training conference you are going on? I'm sure you'll feel more confident when you have done this on your own. I wouldn't worry about the bookings as you are going on the conference anyway. You deserve a short time away, you don't have to feel guilty. Did you say you were travelling with 2 people? If you know someone there it would be a lot easier and you will all be in it together.
craftyhunnypie
Last year conference was chaos! Check in was totally unorganised. You imagine 900 ladies trying to check in!!!! We had about an hour before the gala dinner in which to get ready in & had to share a room & bathroom. I wasn't impressed. If you can, lock yourself in a disabled toilet & have a wash & get ready there! You'll have fun, but will be exhausted afterwards!
