Plum
This little one is 21 wks old and I'd have thought if male would have been obvious weeks ago however, it's still cheeping so quite immature. I'm looking after it for friends and have strong suspicions it's a boy but wanted your opinions before I say anything Long legs, elegant and no spurs Neck feathers look pointed but are rounded Feathers on back (saddle) just growing and about 1.5" long and definitely pointed but do they round off as they grow? Face pinky red but it is 21wks and wattles not big Thanks
Egluntyne
I think you might be right. Those feathers are very pointed and the tail is looking a bit extravagant.
mullethunter
I can't believe how different he/she looks to my grown up girls! Such long legs.
coco
II m thinking boy as well. My silver laced hen bantam hen is much more rounded and didn't go red until she started laying.
Plum
I know mine are really curvy and their feathers cover their hocks like the partridge one in the pic and I can't remember if they were a lot different at that age I'll have to look for some pics. I don't think my friends will be too traumatised the other wyandotte has a fabulous crow and lays eggs. The neighbours don't mind. Wish I could have a cockerel
