Egluntyne
Yes it does! Yuk. Would these flies have entered my garden if it hadn't be there? Who knows. At least these blighters are out of the breeding cycle now! Edited August 12, 2007 by Guest

chocchick
er, why are they black smears/liquid rather than fly shaped?
Ladylucan
Where did u get it from, ?, I have a wasp trap in my garden and it has been there for about 4 weeks and i have caught one measly fly!!!!
Egluntyne
Cinnamon is right....the smell is revolting....like an unburied corpse. You wouldn't want to sit under it and eat your sandwich. Chocchick, the bait is dissolved in water, and the black layer is drowned flies. Ladylucan, I got it from ...here...
Jules.
Got my flitrap today- it was sent recorded delivery & the post man didn't get me to sign for it- but that's another story. It came in a plastic bag that had a cardboard tab stapled to the top with the details of the flitrap printed on it, & it read that my flitrap contained one lot of bait. I had ordered the special offer which was a flitrap with 6 lots of bait, so I phoned the horribly expensive 0870 phone number (i pay my phone co x amount each month for phone calls, but 0870, mobile & international numbers aren't included ) I spoke to a bloke at the company who told me to open it up & there would be 6 lots of bait inside- which there was but it was in little plastic bags which you press along the top to seal, & one wasn't sealed properly & so had spilled into the flitrap-urgh. Not quite like it was depicted on the website with a little sachet of bait that you cut to open. Anyhow, I had real trouble seeing the vertical mark that the flitrap should be filled up to with warm water,(don't think it was there on mine) so I have done a guess at this, 3 ridges up from the bottom. My bait also doesn't seem to have dissolved very well- anyone else experienced what i have? i have put the other packets of bait in a bag safely in the shed so to be out of reach of littlies. There was a warning which came with the bait saying it is not to be eaten by humans or animals, but because I opened the flitrap up in my kitchen to check that there was the bait inside as I was on the phone to the company at the time it some has spilled onto my cooker. I have cleaned it up as much as I can, & none is now visible, but even so I can't help feeling a little worried about this.
UkButton
Your right there does not appear to be fill levels on them. The bait doesn't dissolve very well but still works Mine did anyway. I'm on my second one now. They do honk though after a couple of weeks. The first one got filled and I could see maggots crawling on the inside So elected to just throw it away and fill the spare.
