Ideas for nice cracker fillings please.

Recommended Posts

At the school I work at, towards Christmas, we all make something for the staff Christmas party.

I want to make some Christmas crackers for everybody.

There will be about 15-20 of us so I need something nice that's not very expensive to go inside.

I could try to make something but don't want it too hotch potch - I'm not that crafty.

Do any of you lovely crafters have any ideas what I could make or buy ?

I kind of wanted to start thinking early so I could get organised.

Thanks

I've put lottery tickets in and I always get the little sparklers from Iceland and pop one of those in. My family hate my corny riddles I always use.

Last year I got packs of little cars from Poundland they have a bit of plastic in the back which makes them race. Cats love them. Yes you can see why my family groan.

Home made sweets go in well as well :D

Ooooh thanks Plum.

We always have a scratch card on Christmas day.

It would be a nice idea and they are only £1.00 each but it would still cost some, but then again, everyone where I work now is so nice and it is the best job I've ever had, so perhaps a little treat would be good.

I did this one year for friends - there actually isn't a lot of room inside the cracker so check your sizes first! I put a scratch card/lottery ticket in each one, a tiny soap or lipgloss and then I attached a packet of seeds to each - I'd intended them to go inside but they wouldn't fit. I also wrote my own jokes. They were chicken jokes.

Thanks for your ideas everyone.

There are no men in my school - apart from our lovely caretaker - so that makes it a bit easier.

I have found out that members of staff have to buy their own stickers  and whilst out with a friend spotted packets of stickers on 3 for 2.

They will roll up nicely and have worked out less than £1 for each adult.

I will get some bargain tubs of those Christmas sweets that all the main shops have and pop some of those in too.

Now I just need to get busy
