Ain't Nobody Here
Found our first ever Geocaches today . Very simple ones but it was quite exciting, even for our boys, aged 23 and almost 21! I didn't know much about this before today but I'm astounded at how many Geocaches there are . Anyone found one further north than ours ? The Dogmother
We used to join friends who did it, not done it since though.
Cat tails
We went on a Goose chase today as part of our team day. Loads of fun! Needed to take pictures of a series of assignments.
chickencam
I would love to do this. I had no idea that you were quite that far north ANH we are at opposite ends of the country at present. Home tomorrow though
Louise
I have never done it but part of my old drains are being turned into a geocache There was an ad on free cycle from someone looking for old clay pipes. I had just had my drains replaced two days earlier and had a pile heading for the tip so I responded and half of it was taken away to be turned into a geocache to be left in an old sewage works somewhere hence the need for clay pipes Some people will take anything
Ain't Nobody Here
Think I prefer the thought of Geocaching in the North of Scotland rather than a sewage works .
Valkyrie
Hubby and DD used to do that. It sort of stopped when he had a near death experience. Namely sinking in mud up to his waist and panicking because he was just going down further. DD was trying to throw things to him but in the end he had to dig himself out. A nice chalk stream was then used as a mini bath and he squelched back to the car. DD was walking behind filming it on her phone and laughing while he was whingeing. Pity she broke her phone before saving it! But I did see it and it was so funny - he left trails of water. But seriously do be careful when trying to find your cache. That one was in Old Basing. Canadian cousin went on a trip with him at Stonehenge. Nicer there and no mud!
Ain't Nobody Here
Eek! I'd imagine that would sort of put you off .
Valkyrie
I hasten to add he had to use his hands to scoop it away and work quick before it oozed back again! I can picture him so well in his panic! Er, I'm not really sympathetic am I?!
