AndyRoo
Hello, Some of my chooks have gone quite off lay or are laying quite sporadically over the last few weeks. Will the heat be affecting them in that way? Or could it be something else? I've noticed they seem to have quite enjoyed playing in the sprinkler when it's been on, so I'm wondering if it's just too unbearably warm for them. Cat tails
Some chickens do take a break during warm weather. Mine take a break if the wind is blowing the wrong way...
Grandmashazzie
Yes, I have 9 chickens and have had about 10 eggs last week and none last two days. 😔
AndyRoo
Ah, thanks. I thought it was the heat that was probably the case, but I wasn't too sure.
Ursula123
Late 30's here and getting 7 eggs a day from my 8 girls, they must like the heat. We had a massive thunder storm Saturday evening and the following day all 8 laid
Luvachicken
I don't think I'd want to lay in this heat either if I was a chicken
