Leicester_H
Hi I currently have an ex-bat in a dog crate in the Utility room as (she was pecking holes in the others). Recently, she has been drinking loads of water and (I think) excreting lots of wet droppings making the aubiose very wet. She is otherwise fine, laying occasionally, eating, alert, running round the garden with the others in the afternoon etc. etc. Apart from having to replace the Aubiose more often, its not a problem, but just wondered if anyone had any ideas ? Thanks, H
mullethunter
Other than being too hot, I think in most animals it could indicate a kidney issue. I don’t know though.
Cat tails
Kidney issue or diabetes in mammals at least. But I’m no vet. Might want to ring one.
The Dogmother
Ditto to the above. Also when it's hot, they lose heat by either panting, circulating blood through the comb, or Excretory Heat Transfer, which is when they drink lots of cool water and it wicks away their body temperature as it passes through the gut; this results in splattier poos.
