Dancing Gal
My sister already keeps chooks - has done for years. This weekend she went and got 4 more as their remaining 2 chooks are not laying so well these days. Not surprising really as they are an incredible 9 years old. I'm so jealous and just want to get my girls but I have to wait and wait and wait.

James H
I felt the same a couple of months ago but without the sisiter already haveing chickens then. I really wanted to get some little bantams but I had to keep stopping myself. I had to save up £350 for my eglu but it was worth waiting because my 20 week old bantams look very happy in it! lucky things, but look at it this way, if I went and bought the bantams when I wanted to get them straight away my perfect little chooks that I have now (well sort of perfect!) wouldnt of even been born yet - aaaaaawww
Dancing Gal
Hmm that's what hubbs says to me ' just think he says your girls aren't even laid yet and that I just have to be patient. I think I must be all broody myself - but for hens.

Christian
Oh Dancing Gal, i know exactly how you feel! I had to wait four weeks for delivery and was desperate to get them sooner. I even considered driving to Omlet HQ and getting them......! I promise, it will be worth the wait! Whereabouts in Hampshire are you? Dancing Gal
I live near Fareham in Hampshire. I't just come back from Manor Park country farm where I spent a delightful half an hour in the company of their chickens. I wanted to bring them all home they we so lovely. Lots of them came up and talked to me in a chicken kind of way. And some of the cockerels looked so glorious, but they reminded us quick smart why we couldn't have a cock..what a din!! Last night I dreamt I had 20 chooks all different and they had completely taken over my whole garden. Hubbs is now worried that it could happen
