Footie thread is here now...

Well my team Peterborough could only draw to the utterly useless Lincoln City :cry::(

Worcester City (my team) have just signed a goalkeeper from Peterborough on a month's loan, James Mckeown (any good?) and he goes straight into tonights match at Hucknall Town, due to a goalkeeping shortage at Worcester.

(any good?)

quotes from today's Worcester Newspaper

"CITY NIGHTMARE AT LEAGUE STRUGGLERS"

" Loan keeper beaten five times in embarrassing thrashing"

"Debutant goalkeeper James McKeown endured a wretched night as City crashed 5-0 at bottom club Hucknall"

"Keeper McKeown (on a month's loan from Peterborough) must of wanted the ground to of swallowed him up at times"

"the 18 year old keeper let a speculative 30 yard effort go straight through his legs"

the report also gives scores out of ten " McKeown 3 (Three)"

Luckily this was the first match I've missed this season!!!

Birmingham v Wigan,

Chelsea v Man City,

Bolton v Aston Villa,

Derby v Everton,

Liverpool v "Ooops, word censored!"nal,

Ipswich v Wolverhampton

Vauxhall Motors v Worcester

good luck!

I've noticed no posts since Moscow,...... how was it  ?

Moscow was very cold on arrival warm when I left! A different place the underground is amazing and very efficient. Some of the churches are incredible. I was pleasently surprised how cheap the beer and food were. Managed to avoid the ladies of the night except in one place where on decided to follow me and two other guys out of the plce looking for work!!

The police were very decent no riot gear or any thing. The football ground was amazing and the Russian fans created a hell of a lot of noise. I did not see nay trouble at all but on the day of the match went to a country palace just outside Moscow.

The Kremlin museums and churches are fill of fascinating articles.

The designer shops are full of designer gear and well dressed Russians. There is something strange or ironic about mac donalds having a restaurant in the Gardens of the Kremlin. All in all another enjoyable peaceful trip ruined by a football match :P:P:P

Next up Austria away!!! Can't wait :D:D:D:D:D:D

Never mind Tottenham. will they sack him?/won't they sack him?

in the non league it's very different.

Saturday, beat the 2nd team (Southport) Andy Preece manager and "local hero".

Tuesday, Loose to bottom team (Hucknall) 5-0 "Andy Preece (manager) must go"

Thursday Andy Preece (manager) Sacked.

Garry Megson "favourite" for the new job, he must be due to move on!!!

dont think anyone predicted the correct chelsea v man city scores!!!!

:shock::shock::shock:

:dance::dance:

Am sure they didn't Chelsea! You must be pleased?! 6 isn't bad... ...but not as many as "Ooops, word censored!"nal scored midweek! 8)

Guess which fool transferred a Man City defender into her fantasy team this week?!... Doh!

Bit of a nailbiter game against Liverpool! Bro and i yelled extremely loudly when the equaliser went in which made the cat jump off my lap and leg it upstairs and OH wake up! :) Am fairly happy with a draw as we were 1-0 down but we were the better team! Bring on Man Utd!

And Bolton - Villa 1-1?! That will stop Martin being unbearable... Am guessing Phil won't be to happy about the Villa equaliser though... :?

I cheered too when "Ooops, word censored!"nal scored (not too loudly though as hubby in bed - works nights  )

I was hoping for a draw in relation to the prem table (looking much healthier from chelsea's point of view :D ) but I do relish in seeing Liverpool lose - so I was cheering on the gunners today!

Next week will be a big game....it will either be magnificent with goals galore or you will cancel each other out and it will be 0-0  good for me the neutral to watch either team drop some points though!!

Yeah, Chelsea can't really lose whether the "Ooops, word censored!"nal - Man Utd game is a home win, away win or draw... I suspect it will be the latter - though, we're not gonna score many with RVP out injured and Man Utd suddenly seem to be scoring loads so it may even be a Man Utd win.

Good to see the spuds lose again today! :)

Yep! I feel a bit sorry for martin Jol to be honest, I think the players got him the shove. Its their fault they are losing not his!

I was chanting Avram Grant's name last night (to the tune of "ere we go") - it doesnt have quite the same ring as "Jose Mourniho" though does it?!:lol:

What d'ya reckon to Grant then Chelse? Has he got what it takes? I really should have predicted a huge win to Chelsea - was obvious there would be a backlash at some point... Just glad we're not playing you til December - hopefully you'll have got it out your systems by then!

...And No... It doesn't have the same ring to it! :D

Dont think I will ever warm to him. I just laugh to myself whenever I see him. I dont know whether this new style is anything to do with this new Ten Cate geezer.....we shall see. Dont get too excitied - I think this is just a temporary high,....because as per usual with Chelsea - dont think it will last!!
