moochoo
Well Sushi kind of by description involves raw fish but you can slice fish and 'cook' it in citrus juice. If you slice your fish and add citrus juice to it, leave it in a bowl in the fridge for about half an hour it will have 'cooked' in the acid from the fruit. The traditional additions to sushi are wasabi ( japenese horseradish paste), thinly sliced ginger and soya sauce. If you don't want fish at all you can try raw beef, preferably fillet served with the same condiments......it's all very elaborate for school lunch though. For a vegetarian option you could do seaweed rolls, most supermarkets will sell sheets of seaweed now. You can roll them with rice, cucumber and avacado. I suppose you could use tinned fish in a seaweed roll, after all who's going to judge your use of ingredients at schoool?

Cinnamon
No recipes here, but I know you can buy the seaweed to wrap it in in Tesco My daughters both love Sushi & if I go into town & don't come back with a snack pack for them each from M&S I am in right trouble
craftyhunnypie
Why don't you make some smoked salmon and garlic & herb philadelphia pinwheels? All you do is take your slice of smoked salmon, spread with the cream chease. Roll up and use a cocktail stick to hold in place - chill in the fridge for a short while (in a sealed tub or your fridge may pong), then take out and slice into pin wheels. Lokks very posh! Or why not make a meatloaf with boiled eggs in and take a slice of that in your lunchbox! I do have a recipe, but it's a slimming world one! Emma.x do you need to put cocktail sticks into the weels after you've cut them??? or do they hold together quite well??
