clucker1
I put my chickens sometime ago on the grit, gastro grit….just to see what it did. My girls adored it, is the understatement and it firmed up their poos substantially. Is there any other supplement I could use which would help them, the gastro grit was excellent but expensive. Most of my girls are getting on now, the youngest are 18 months and the oldest is nearly 5, they are all hybrids.
Luvachicken
Mine have Nettex poultry tonic mixed in their water. I admit they also have Gastro grit - they do love it. I would rather pay for that because I know they eat it, as opposed to the cheaper grit that they don't touch. They need grit to help digestion, so I'm not sure what other kind of supplement you could use for that.
Patricia W
Do what I do with the Gastro Grit. Mix it with ordinary grit or limit to 3x a week. I also have Clare’s Alpha Conditioning food which I cut in with their normal pellets or with my 11 year old, feed it neat about 3 times a week.
