The Dogmother
I've only just caught up with this Shona.... I am sooo sad for you . Take care of yourself, and send my sympathies to Mr Chookie hubbie too. Just wish that I could hug you Loads of love coming through the ether to you, though. It takes a while to come to terms with things like this. I have one lovely healthy daughter, but can't have any more. I just had to move on and count my blessings. That's one way of dealing with it. Chunkin
Genuine sympathy here from me too Shona - so many shocks, life just doesn't seem fair sometimes. Even if nature does know best it still hurts! I'm glad you have the support of your wonderful family around you and all of us here too if you need us. Guest
Just wanted to say thanks again for all the support. Life is beginning to return to normal, although I hate the way people either ignore it completely (even though I know that they know), or try and protect me from any mention of babies or pregnancy. All I have to face now is my return to work, but I've got another week before I need face that. I have planted a rose bush in the garden in the babys memory - it seemed like the thing to do as we planted a rose bush for Caity, and willow trees for both the boys, and feel better every day. Thanks again!

Chunkin
That's a lovely idea Shona. Roses are beautiful. I guess some people think they are being kind by not mentioning emotional things? The ones who avoid difficult subjects to save themselves embarrasment aren't worth you worrying about! Take care of you x

Mel (& Paul)
What a lovely, wonderful idea. People do often find it hard to know what to say, and they think they are "sparing" you by not mentioning it. I know when a friend was widowed she felt quite frustrated but appreciated people didnt know how to start the conversation. You know you can always come here anytime you want to talk and we will be happy to oblige
