I am signed up to www.petrolprices.com and they send you weekly emails with the cheapest stations near to you, there are about 5 petrol stations within a mile of my house though, probably not that many for most of you. Worth a try if you are fairly out of the way, can be interesting too.

Most expensive in Elgin is 100.9p I paid 9 pence more than this yesterday

 

Public transport around here especially from village to village is not great. If I want to travel to Elgin the bus fare is £5.00 return. The journey takes about 15 minutes. A child bus fare is not that much cheaper. I do wonder how families without a car afford to travel on the bus

I don't, I rarely go anywhere unless its a family trip. We go shopping once a month and can only manage that cos of hubbies company car. You would have to live central town with no car. I did growing up (my parents dont drive)

I don't know if ths will ever get off the ground but I have been a member of pipeline card for ages waiting to start getting discounts

 

In Peebles it used to be the same price as edinburgh but now both garages are shell it costs about 8-10p more

 

I make a point of filling up at work I get so fed up of the big companies profiteering because they have a monopoly

 

The local supermarket had to sell one of their 2 stores in the town because of that but the petrol companies can get away with it
